Overview
The premise of this project was to showcase my UI design skills, although the website is static it encompasses, e-commerce, 3D design, and augmented reality technology, all of which was used to show they all can be used to deliver an amazing and more immersive web experience. Using third-party tools I was able to prototype a desktop site capable of using 3D and augmented reality to showcase products.
Sleek Design
The site functions and has the characteristics of an e-commerce website; making the design was not gaudy although underneath the hood it host powerful features was key.
3D View
A call to action button in the top right corner of the image seemed like a clean way to prompt individuals to click and see the image in a 3D view. Once loaded you can interact with the image to see it at all angles.
Bringing it to Life
The final step is bringing it to the real world. With furniture it can sometimes be difficult to envision the piece in you own space, so allowing potential customers to see what it could actually look like enhances the buying potential.
